Sigma Drives Me Crazy (archive)

Sigma is specialized in professional makeup brushes, at an affordable cost, for a perfect makeup in all ocasions. You can purchase a kit, customize one or simply buy individually brushes. I personally love the  E25 for blending and the F70 for concealer, they beat any sponge or finger! And for those who are concerned about bristles they have syntetic and natural bristles and even for some brushes a combination of both to push result right to Pro-level.
The new Make me up collection (yes, brushes have collections too) presents a new design and some yammy new colours ( besides black we have blue, purple and hot pink) for the 12 brush kits. The brush roll is replaced by a new multi-purposed container:  two stylish brush containers turned into a travel box.
Besides, the packaging is just too cute, it reminds me the limited edition of Tokidoki brushes for Sephora.

Each kit contains 12 diferent brushes for eyes and face and they still offer a 13th, the E25 for blending. So we have 7 brushes for the eyes and 5 for the face and believe me, they all have different purposes.

In the image above each brush is identified with a letter E or F. E stands for eye brush and F for face (and sometimes body) brush.
E30 -Pencil brush for precise aplication of eyeshadow on the crease, outer corner, and upper and lower lash line. I must be honest, the only great thing about this brush ( that it isn’t so precise as they say) is to smudge the pencil liner for smokey eyes effect. Don’t try to use it for extremely precise makeup or it will ruin all the work already done.
F70- My beloved concealer brush. My sidekick against dark circles and small blemishes.
E55- Basic eyeshadow brush.
E60-Large Shadder. It’s flat shape is ideal for application of cream formulas and eye shadow primers.
F50-this one is designed to generate an ‘airbrushed’ finish when used to apply liquid foundation. It can also be used to apply blush, highlight shades and loose pigments. It’s really good to apply bronzer evenly all over your body. It’s called Duo Fiber because it’s synthetic and natural bristles.
F30- round, fluffly and everybody knows it! Ideal for powder products for face and body.
F40- My blush brush. The angled shape helps to accentuate your rose cheeks.
F60- For cream foundations or moisturizers.
E40-Blending brush.
E70-Perfect to higlight the eyebrow and the outer corner of the eye.
E05- A Liquid eyeliner pencil.
E65- For cream eyeliner.

The entire kit costs $99. So you will save $73 compared if you bought all these brushes individually ($9 each brush + the container).

As you already realized my favourite is the purple one (Make me Crazy). What’s your favourite? Classy, Blush, Cool or Crazy like me?
Another kind of brush that I particulary like is the Kabuki brush. The previous Sigma collection, inspired by the Hollywood divas, have retractable kabuki brushes with different colours named after great actress like Audrey Hepburn (black), Elisabeth Taylor (purple), Princess Grace (pink) and Marilyn Monroe (red). They’re a bit more expensive but the idea of a movie star kabuki brush is neat, don’t you think? Also, because it's retractable, you can swipe a few face powder or foundation into the brush and keep it in your purse for touch ups. How good is that?
